Agara Lake is a 98-acre natural lake located in Agara Bangalore, lying between Koramangala and HSR layout, in the southern part of Bangalore city. It is one of the most well-maintained lakes of Bangalore.this lake filled by the water of Madivala lake, through the Raja Kaluve. And Excess water is drained to the Bellandur Lake.in this lake we will see them more than 250 plants have been planted it looks like a mini island. The famous attraction of the Agara lake is the children playing Area which has been cleaned. The state government of Karnataka, Lake Conservation And Development Authority Spent 16.10 crore rupees to run a program to use the excess water and remove mud piles.
The evidence of the existence of the Agara lake is held in the 8th century, later on, this lake is used for Drinking water by residents of Agara and other surrounding villages. For infrastructure development the lake was shrinking in 1990, in 2000 Agara lake restoration is approved for BDA’s DPR, in 2004 with the help of forest department, BDA restores the lake and erects a fence around the lake. honorable Chief Minister SM Krishna open the lake and adjoining the park to the public, In 2005 lake handed over to LDA for the process of keeping something in good condition, in 2007 LDA enters into an agreement with Hyderabad based Biota Natural Systems Pvt.Ltd. And leases out again for 15years.
Agara Lake is one of the natural lakes of Bangalore. And it is also a dupe of stagnation. Agara Lake is a good deal for morning walkers and joggers, cycling, bird watching and also conducting few activities around the lake. in the past years every monsoon hundreds of birds are traveling to this place but off late population has been decreasing.

Monday to Saturday: 5:30am to 11:00am and 4:00pm to 6:30pm
Sunday: 5:30am to 6:30pm
